** AMWN stimuli with high rates of modulation induce a corresponding perception of pitch matching that modulation rate. You should notice a low pitch percept (somewhat like a helicopter) in addition to a more noise-like percept when listening to AMWN rates 21.83 and 52.08 Hz. Correspondingly, these stimuli seem to elicit responses in regions preferring low spectral and/or high temporal acoustic frequencies.
